I like this review of I'm Spazticus. The show was great and I hope there'll be more series. Recognised several of the actors, no doubt because there aren't very many roles available for crip actors.

Did you watch Hit and Miss? I found Episode 1 a bit long-winded but it was worth persisting because from Episode 2 onwards, I was gripped. There's so much in there that I gave up trying to write about how the plot and the characters develop. Those who can access UK telly might choose to watch this which starts tonight. You might remember Sevigny from her role as a ciswoman in Boys Don't Cry, a film about a real transman.

Two episodes of Criminal Minds have caught my eye recently. I'll cut this post for spoilers to let you choose whether to read.

Stuart Goddard, the singer aka Adam Ant, has bipolar disorder. He's become outspoken about how people with mental illnesses are treated. Last year he was attacked in a 'joke' by another singer, Liam Gallagher.

I was trying to understand the hand-sign in the userpic that yasonablack designed for friendly_crips. Still didn't find out! but I guessed wrongly that it might mean 'eyes' so I goofled and found this. I love watching people sing in sign. It's so moving, I find.

Jimmy Carr made a joke about children with Down's Syndrome and not everybody found it acceptable.

I'm no art historian so I didn't know, until now, that Frida Kahlo had spinal injuries.
